Operation C for GB (Last Updated 3/24/21)

In case you don’t know Operation C is the third Contra game that came out and is a side-scrolling run ‘n gun with the exception of levels 2 and 4 where it has a top-down view and “GB” stands for “Game Boy.” It can only be played 1 player.

The different ways you can play this game are: buy the standalone GB cartridge and it should work in any system that plays GB games or buy the 108 in 1 Multicart for GBC (Game Boy Color) and it works in all systems that play GB or GBC games except the Retron 5.

You can’t enter the 10 lives code and the level select code at the same time because if you enter the 10 lives code then enter the level select code it will just start you off on level 1 with 10 lives and if you enter the level select code then, say, press up 3 times to select level 4 and then enter the ten lives code it will start you off on level 4 with 3 lives. The level select code is a slightly modified version of the code known as the “Konami code” because it works for a bunch of Konami games (Konami is a company that makes games), and how it is modified is “B, A” is repeated twice.

Level Select:
Press Up(2), Down(2), Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, B, A, Start at the title screen when the movement on the screen stops, a chime will confirm correct entry when you press Start and then you can select what level you want to start on from levels 1-4, it will not let you select the last level in the game which is level 5.

Ten Lives:
Press Up(4), Down(4), Left(4), Start at the title screen when the movement on the screen stops, since you get 2 continues with 10 lives per continue you get a total of 30 lives with this code instead of the usual 3 lives and since you get 2 continues that means you normally would get just 9 lives. After you use up all 10 lives, you don’t have to enter the code again, when you select “continue” you will automatically get 10 more lives.
