Batman Returns for SNES (Last Updated 3/24/21)

In case you don’t know Batman Returns is a side-scrolling beat ‘em up, and “SNES” stands for “Super Nintendo Entertainment System.” It can only be played 1 player.

The different ways you can play this game are: buy the standalone SNES cartridge and it should work in any system that plays SNES games. Buy the Super 102 in 1 Multicart for SNES or the Super 100 in 1 Multicart for SNES and they work in original SNES systems and all Retron systems except the Retron 1 (since it does not have a SNES game port) and the Retron 5 and they’re what we have and they work great in our Retron 2.

The easiest way to beat the game is go to the options menu and set “Game level” (game difficulty level) to easy then enter the nine lives code and the nine continues code (you can have them both activated at the same time) and set “Rest” (lives) to 9.

This first code is a modified version of the code known as the “Konami Code” because it works for a bunch of Konami games (Konami is a company that makes games), and how it is modified is it does not end in “Start” or “Select, Start.”

Nine Lives:
Go to the options menu then highlight the “Rest” (lives) selection on the options screen, then press Up(2), Down(2), Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, on controller two. A tone will confirm correct code entry and then up to 9 lives can now be selected instead of the usual maximum of 7.

Nine Continues:
Go to the options menu then highlight the “Rest” (lives) selection on the options screen, then press Up, X, Left, Y, Down, B, Right, A, Up, X on controller two. A tone will confirm correct code entry and you will have 9 continues instead of the usual 3.

Other game code sites say you can press Up(8) at the title screen for invincibility and they don’t say on which controller, we tried this code on both controllers and could not get it to work so it appears this is not a valid code.
